Gen 2 Chapter 6: Shang Simla, Day 1

Zach and Nichol arrive safely in Shang Simla. Nichol has work to do and hopes to finish as quickly as she can so they can enjoy a few sights before returning home.

Will this trip end up being all work and no pleasure for Nichol? Will she be able to speak the local language or will the natives laugh at the silly tourist lady?

What about Zach? Will he find fun or be bored out of his gourd while waiting for Nichol to join him?

Read Shang Simla, Day 1 to start finding out! This trip took three SimDays and therefore, I have written each day as a separate piece ~~ day 2 and day 3 will be posted throughout the day so that all three components of this story will arrive today.

Gen 2 Chapter 2: The Birth of Reiley & Kayla Makes an Announcement

After the birth of Reiley, things return to normal in the Snyder house.

Jeremey paints, Kayla continues to write, Nichol relaxes after a long day at work and Zach… well, Grandpa Zach enthusiastically claims Reiley time every chance he can get!

It isn’t long before Kayla makes an announcement that will change the family dynamic once more. Also, thanks to the Story Progression mod, Nikki Snyder-Parrott shares a surprise of her own!

Read The Birth of Reiley & Kayla Makes an Announcement to reveal the surprises that are in store for the Snyder family.

Generation 2: Here We Go!

Roll baby, roll…

Family Structure: Couple

Number of Children: 2

Careers
Kayla – Author
Spouse – Artist

Generational Goal: Fulfilled
Choose carefully, young ones. Heir and Spouse must obtain their LTW. Changing the LTW via aspiration reward is allowed.

In addition, any Wish that is “promised” (that is, pinned to the board) MUST be fulfilled. You may only cancel a promised wish if it becomes impossible to fulfill. For example, “play game with Sim” when said Sim has died. You do not have to promise every (or any) wish, but once promised this rule applies.

Miscellaneous Fun: Runs in the Family
Pick a trait. Preferably a trait one of the parent Sims have. Every Sim born this generation must have this trait before reaching young adulthood.

This doesn’t look too bad! I will just have to be careful with “what I wish for” LOL

Did You Catch That?

I’m sure you did because you’re pretty observant about things like that.

If you read my post from yesterday, then you saw all the links to each story that officially follows GEN 1 from start to finish. And… if you delved further and had time to read the stories, then you would have quickly noticed that it also contained links to GEN 2.There are also a few stories posted for GEN 2 too.

Starting fresh (again!) meant a few changes so things would make more sense. I moved the menu/table of contents and made a separate heading for each main storyline. Once again, please note that Keagan’s Kids is unfinished. There won’t be more because that game glitched and I ended up losing every bit of it. 😦

Then I started filling “2 Times the FUN!” with what I had posted to the Sims Community Forum Thread. I set about working like a madwoman & posted story after story until it suddenly dawned on me. No one received notices that new stories were available. Hmm. What to do, what to do. I didn’t want to change my new format even though I like what others have used in their own blogs. So I did like Pooh does… think, think, think.

I am going with what I see is a simple solution ==> a blog post with the link to the story. Hope this works like I’d like it to.

As always, try it out and let me know what you think.

Happy Reading!

Things are Coming Along Quite Nicely!

HI there!

It has been a little while since I last did an update, but even though I have been silent up here at the front counter there has been A LOT of work done in the back. Dusting. Polishing. Moving Shelves. Organizing boxes and bins.

With that being said…

Founders (Generation 1) stories have all be posted here. Hooray!!!

The Generational Rules & Guidelines (What I rolled!) is found here.

Prefer to read the story and not concern yourself with the rules and background stuff? Well, that’s fine too!

The Wedding Album ~ Zach and Nichol is the first post in this collection and at the bottom of each post is a way to go back to read the previous post as well as a second way to continue forward to the next post (once it has been published, of course!).

Zach and Nichol have the wedding album, then a three-part sharing of Memories (titled Telling Their Story – part 1; Telling Their Story – part 2; and Telling Their Story – part 3) and finish up their generation with a re-cap of How Did They Do?

You are more than welcome to jump around and start anywhere you like, but I suggest starting with the Wedding Album and reading onward from that spot in order to get the full story.
