SV Daycare 1

Sunflower Montessori is a dream come true. Karen Cameron’s dream as a matter of fact.

~*~*~*~

Her husband, Charles, wishes she could be here to see the fruition of her hard work and careful planning.

~*~*~*~

Karen passed away at the end of the coldest winter Charles can ever recall and while this wasn’t his dream, he plans to cherish her memory by opening the doors to help as many kids as possible to grow and thrive.

~*~*~*~

Charles calls the cab company and arranges a ride to City Hall. With business permit application in hand, he carefully skirts around the group of protesters and heads inside.

The signs read “Science: No School Left Behind!” “New Lab Equipment NOW!” and various other slogans. Charles smiles as he passes and wishes them success in their endeavors. Making a brighter future for kids is very important!

~*~*~*~

The clerk takes his paperwork and checks it for accuracy. “Everything seems to be in order, Mr.Cameron. It will take a few days to process this and verify a few details, but I don’t expect there will be any problems. You should get a call in a few days.”

~*~*~*~

Charles heads over to Central Park and spends a few moments lost in memories before he seems to come to himself.

He takes the time to introduce himself to a few families and tells them about the new daycare opening soon. Hopefully, they have children who need this service or know others who might. Charles is careful to avoid getting too close to the wild horse that reared up on its hind legs several times.

~*~*~*~

It is starting to get late so Charles heads home for a bite to eat.

~*~*~*~

Then he begins the nightly routine of making sure doors are locked and lights are off before heading upstairs. As always, their wedding pictures cause him to get teary eyed as he gazes at Karen. “I miss you so much and don’t know what I’ll do without you by my side.”

~*~*~*~

Charles gets ready for bed and the last thing he does before closing his eyes is turn his head and say, “Good night, love.”

  1. It’s so good to see a new story from you! I wish Charles the best of luck. At least he doesn’t have a full house to take care of like Luke did! These children he won’t have to keep an eye out on all day.

  2. I really liked this story so far Addy! I like the part at the end where Charles remembers his late wife… I’m sure he will find love again! Jessa’s lot looks fantastic in the screen shots!

    • Thank you again! 🙂

Jessa’s lot is gorgeous! Each time I jump in to play I see something new to admire.

Charles is fun to play and write about. I have no idea where his path will take him since my only plan was: play the daycare career. I would love for him to have a second chance at love but since I’m not pushing it (rare for me! LOL), we’ll have to wait and see what he does.

For my stories, I tend to play the game and take A LOT of screenshots. Then I sift through them & figure out the story. Several times I’ve discovered something in the pictures that I didn’t notice while playing … how fun!!

Thank YOU for reading & leaving a comment. Both are awe-sim!!!
